Hairdressing, beauty and skin penetration premises
If you operate a hairdressing or beauty salon, or a business that performs skin penetration procedures under the Public Health Act 2010 you must register with Council.
Development Consent will be required if your business conducts any of the below skin penetration procedures:
- nail technician including cuticle cutting
- microdermabrasion
- waxing
- acupuncture
- tattooing
- colonic irrigation
- electroloysis
- derma-roller
- ear piercing
- body piercing
- cosmetic enhancement
- semi-permanent makeup.
