This program supports initiatives and activities that enhance health and environmental sustainability outcomes for local communities.
Council provides $2,000 of funding for each not-for profit community organisation or school P&C group (total allocation of $15,000/year).
This program aims to:
- Enhance health and environmental sustainability outcomes for our community
- Partner with and support community groups to develop and deliver projects that improve the health, wellbeing and quality of life for our community
- Provide and promote opportunities for the community to:
- Engage in regular physical activity
- Develop skills in sustainable practices
- Develop knowledge and skills in healthy eating and active living principles
- Improve the health of the natural environment
- improve the mental health and wellbeing.
