Destination Event Funding Program

This funding program offers up to $20,000 per event bi-annually to support eligible events that are categorised as major or destination events.

This program aims to:

Provide strong leadership, partnership and communication
Facilitate sustainable tourism growth
Deliver authentic branding and marketing
Create a thriving, high quality, event destination
Enable tourism investment and development.

Applying for funding

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1.Read

It is important to read both our Grants and Donations Policy and Guidelines before you apply.

These provide an outline of what is required for your application:

Step 2.Apply

During the application process you will be required to submit documentation that supports and outlines appropriate planning and budgeting. We have provided some template documents in the Tools section of this webpage to assist.

Apply today

Applications will close on 12 January 2025.

Step 3.Notification

If you are successful in your application for funding you will be notified and asked to sign the terms agreement. You may also be asked to provide further planning and reporting documentation.
