Emery Park
Kiama Council is currently investigating the presence of Aboriginal artefacts at Emery Park.
Council has halted construction of the new playground planned for the park, until these investigations are complete.
The playground area has been turfed to protect any aboriginal artefacts.
The playground at Headland Drive Gerroa is being upgraded to provide an alternative for our residents and visitors.
Note:
Harming or desecrating Aboriginal objects and places carries a maximum penalty of $10,000, or two years imprisonment under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
