Australia Day
Next date: Sunday, 26 January 2025 | 10:30 AM
to 02:30 PM
Kiama Council is heading to Jamberoo this Australia Day (Sunday, 26 January) to celebrate our national day.
Council will be holding our formal Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony at Jamberoo Youth Hall.
Starting at 10am, the ceremony will see Mayor Cameron McDonald welcome and celebrate our latest group of fellow Australian citizens.
This will be followed by a community barbecue and picnic next door at Reid Park, at 11:30am.
This event is supporting Jamberoo Red Cross and Jamberoo Rural Fire Service.
The event will include local musicians, as well as cultural performances for the community to enjoy.
Families and children can have fun with a variety of games and activities including Circus Play, large yard games, face painting, and the Jamberoo Rural Fire Service Truck.
The Jamberoo Red Cross will keep everyone well fed with their Australia Day barbecue and the Jamberoo Gelato Bar will be there for those with a sweet tooth.
So, grab your camp chair, picnic blanket or rug and join us.
If you can’t make it to Jamberoo, there are also Australia Day barbecues at Jones Beach (Kiama Downs Surf Club) and Werri Beach (Gerringong Surf Club).
