Kiama Council is committed to reducing waste, improving resource recovery, and creating a sustainable future for our community.

We are seeking feedback on the draft Waste and Sustainable Materials Strategy 2024-2030 to ensure it meets the needs and expectations of our community.

By sharing your feedback and thoughts, you will support our progress in improving the way we deliver service to our community.

Review the Draft Strategy and submit your feedback by Friday 1 November 2024: 

  1. Fill out our survey
    Survey Estimated completion time: 7 minutes.
    You can also find paper surveys at our Customer Service Centre, Kiama, and Gerringong Libraries. Simply fill out the survey and drop it back in.

  2. Talk to us at a community pop-up

    Council Staff will be out and about to have a chat with community. Come and say "Hi" at one of the below events: 
    • Wednesday 23 October from 4pm-6pm at Kiama Farmers Market
    • Wednesday 30 October from 4pm-6pm at Oztag, Kiama Leisure Centre

  3. Email or post your submission
    You can give your feedback by emailing council@kiama.nsw.gov.au or posting to Council (see below "Contact us"). 

Next steps:

  1. Strategy finalisation
    Community feedback will be collated, reviewed and considered in the finalisation of the Strategy. 
     
  2. Council endorsement 
    The final Strategy will be reported back to Council for adoption, including a Community Engagement Report outlining how feedback received during the Public Exhibition has refined the Strategy.
