Reconciliation Action Plan

Kiama Council is proud of our relationship with our Aboriginal community, and the work we do on our many cultural events and projects. 

Council is now developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to consolidate these initiatives and strengthen our relationship.

Reconciliation Australia is guiding the development of this RAP.

An Aboriginal Reference Group, and a RAP Working Group will also provide guidance and support, including for our consultation and engagement with our Aboriginal community.

This Reference Group will be community-led and independent of Council.

Once developed, the RAP will be submitted to Reconciliation Australia for approval, then Council for endorsement.
