One boarded collie and one cavoodle sniffing each other on the grass

Kiama Council is installing a fenced off-leash park area (FOLA) at Jamberoo.

The Jamberoo FOLA will include a general exercise area with a double-gated entry/exit to prevent accidental escapes.

The park will feature a well-maintained turf space, shaded areas, drinking bowls, bag dispensers and bench seating for owners.

Fenced dog parks provide a safe environment for dogs to enjoy physical and mental exercise as well opportunities to socialise (for dogs and their owners).

They also allow an accessible place for older owners and those with a disability, to exercise their dogs.

They are also a good resting place for people travelling with their dog.

Funding:

Kiama Council $70,013 (Developer Contribution Fund)

NSW Government $42,600 (Local Small Commitments Allocation)

ETA: June 2025
