Council has approval for the Emery Park playground area to be turfed including the current mound to protect any aboriginal artifacts, which will allow the security fence will be removed in the coming weeks.

It is intended to install a new playground at Emery Park once Council has completed the investigations of aboriginal heritage significance and gained a permit to allow construction on the site ensuring that aboriginal heritage is respected, and Council is successful with further grant applications.
