The Kiama Leisure Centre has experienced a surge in demand for swimming lessons, reflecting the growing number of young families in our area.

Unfortunately, this demand is felt in many areas across NSW.

We understand some families are experiencing a waiting period before their children can join a swimming class.

Kiama Leisure Centre has introduced a range of improvements to help the increasing number of parents enrolling their kids in swimming lessons.

More than 1350 children are already enrolled for 2024.

It’s a pleasing trend given the importance of parents and their children to have confidence they’ll be safe in and around water.

We have introduced a number of strategies and streamlined services to ease access and meet this increased demand, including:

  • Introduction of an online enrolment system, which provides parents with greater accessibility and convenience. The online portals allows customers to view, book and adjust their enrolments at any time.
  • Program expansion and improvements to instructor-to-student ratio.
  • Introduction of a new enrolment system to allow existing customers to seamlessly move between terms.

We encourage anyone interested in joining our program to utilise our online portal, as spaces may become available at any time:

We’re proud to be working with organisations such as Royal Life Saving NSW, AUSTSWIM and Swim Australia to recruit instructors, as well as inspire more people to consider becoming a swim teacher.
