Get your thumb green on National Tree Day

Kiama Council encourages everyone to sign up for a National Tree Day activity this Friday (26 July).

Council is a longstanding support of National Tree Day, with our Bush Regeneration team working with Kiama High School and our local Bushcare volunteers to plant native at sites such as Seven Mile Beach, Bombo Headland and Spring Creek.

Last year we managed to plant around 700 trees to regenerate these areas and provide habitat for local wildlife.

We also are glad to have the Minnamurra Lions Club add their barbecue skills to feed the budding young horticulturalist afterwards.
