Christmas additional waste service for urban and rural households

Over summer, we buy, party and throw away more than at any other time of the year.
This is why our urban and rural residents (who pay a domestic or rural waste management charge) are provided an additional waste services during the Christmas/New Year period.

This service will continue each year moving forward and will be included in future waste collection calendars.
No service on Christmas Day
There is no waste removal service on Christmas Day. Those households that ordinarily have their waste removed on a Wednesday will have their waste removed on Thursday (Boxing Day).
Removing other household waste
Just a reminder for problem household wastes such as batteries, cardboard, computers, televisions, paints, light globes, mobile phones, textiles, batteries, gas bottles, fire extinguishers and smoke detectors, drop them off at our Community Recycling Centre (CRC), located at the Minnamurra Waste and Recycling Facility.
The CRC facility will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
