Jane Stroud

Jane joined Kiama Council as CEO in June 2021. Her background is in local government and strategic planning. Jane served as director and deputy CEO at Logan City Council and Director at Southern Downs Councils in Queensland prior to moving south to take the reins of Kiama Municipal Council.

The CEO’s role is to ensure that decisions made by the elected council are implemented, to oversee the day-to-day management of the organisation and to support our Mayor in the performance of his (or her) role.

As CEO of Kiama Council and Blue Haven, Jane manages a team of more than 500 staff and is ultimately responsible for the operational side of the business.

Jane is focused on ensuring Kiama Council retains its resilience by making strategic choices for a sustainable future. A big part of this is transparency, so that the work Council does is accountable and measurable. It is also about sensible and transparent financial management to ensure sustainability.
