Who is entitled? If you are a ratepayer of the Municipality you can obtain trees and shrubs from Council for free.
How many? Each ratepayer is entitled to obtain two Free Trees or shrubs from Council once each financial year.
How do you get them? You can pick up the plants from Council's stall at the Fresh Food Produce Market in held at Black Beach in Kiama. All you need to do is to present your rate notice at the stall.
When and where can you get them? Ratepayers may obtain two free trees each financial year. The stall is held on World Environment Day held by Council in June each year and three other days selected throughout the year. Please telephone Council to find the next day.
What type of plants are they? The plants are usually tube stock, approx 100mm high and generally native plants indigenous to this area.
Council has a Tree Preservation Order to protect the environment.
